2026 Orange Shirt Day Commemoration Event
Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House invites community members of all ages to join us for an afternoon of storytelling, learning, reflection and gathering in recognition of Orange Shirt Day.
On Tuesday, September 29, we invite you to join us for a free, all-ages community gathering in commemoration of Orange Shirt Day - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.From 4:30–6:30 pm, we will come together for an afternoon of storytelling, learning and reflection. The gathering will include a Territorial Welcome from Calvin C. Dawson of Squamish Nation, drumming with Elder Kelly White, smudging and community care, Every Child Matters rock painting, and learning stations sharing Frog Hollow’s ongoing decolonizing work.Soup and bannock will be offered while supplies last.We will also have Lexèywa: I pass the torch to you, by Beatrice Elaine Silver available for purchase at the event, including Chinese-translated editions.
