Your Voice. Your Vote. Your Neighbourhood. - 2026 Municipal Election Campaign

As Vancouver prepares for the 2026 municipal election, we want to hear directly from the people who know our neighbourhoods best.

From July through September, neighbourhood houses across Vancouver are inviting neighbours to share what matters most to them and their communities. Whether you are a participant, volunteer, neighbour, or local business owner, whether you can vote or not —your perspective matters.

Whether you are a participant, volunteer, neighbour, parent, youth, senior, newcomer or local business owner—and whether you are eligible to vote or not—your voice matters.

Tell us what matters the most to you:

💛 Belonging and social connection
👨‍👩‍👧 Families and child care
🌿 Seniors and aging well
🥕 Food security
🌎 Climate action and resilience
🧡 Reconciliation and Indigenous relationships

Here’s how you can get involved:

🗨️ Join a community conversation or event at your neighbourhood house

🟢 Add your ideas through our dotmocracy activity

We have translated our core campaign materials into 12 languages so that you can participate and share your thoughts in your preferred language: 简体中文 / 繁體中文 / Русский / Українська / فارسی / Español / 한국어 / 日本語 / Tiếng Việt / हिन्दी / ਪੰਜਾਬੀ / Tagalog

Neighbourhood houses do not just deliver programs—they bring people together, strengthen neighbourhoods, and help community voices shape local decisions.

This fall, we will bring what we hear directly to Vancouver’s mayoral and council candidates—helping community priorities shape conversations about our city’s future and supporting residents in making informed decisions before election day on October 17.

Stay tuned for more posts highlighting each community priority, upcoming events and additional ways to make your voice heard.

Change starts in neighbourhoods. Strong neighbourhoods build strong cities.
