Can David Eby Find a Way Back?

Frog Hollow’s Executive Director, Norm Leech, was recently interviewed by The Tyee for an article examining Premier David Eby’s leadership and the expectations of communities across BC. Speaking from his personal perspective, Norm reflects on the hope many community advocates initially placed in Eby—and the growing concern about homelessness, affordable housing, food insecurity, Indigenous rights and access to social supports. His comments bring a frontline perspective to the conversation: as inequality grows, leaders must have the courage to remain grounded in their values and stand alongside people and communities with less access to power.
