On Call. Casual ECEA/ECE/IT

About You

We are seeking highly motivated, passionate, flexible, and compassionate individuals to join our dynamic child care team as On Call,Casual ECEA’s/ECE’s/IT’s in our Early Years and School Age Care Programs across our different sites.

About the Position

The On Call, Casual position is responsible for the provision of an early childhood education and/or school age program that fosters a positive, and emergent learning environment with a focus on the social and emotional well being of all children. We are an inclusive, multicultural, dynamic and collaborative child care setting which includes working with other educators to plan and implement a progressive and innovative program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, BC Early Learning Framework in concert with the values of FHNH. Other responsibilities include developing strong and collaborative relationships and communication with children, families and colleagues.

We are a Learning Centre (www.reggiolearning.ca) with amazing opportunities for professional development and for collaborative efforts with other educators and with the community as a whole.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • ECEA/ECE/IT Certificate
  • Ability to provide programming based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach and BC’s ELF
  • Strength in building and maintaining supportive and collaborative partnerships with children of all abilities families, and colleagues .
  • Creativity, initiative, flexibility, compassion, sense of joy, and enthusiasm

Hours: This is an On Call, Casual position. Shift can vary from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Salary & Benefits: Hourly Salary: $21.74-$23.10 depending on qualifications plus 4% vacation pay. ECE’s and IT’s qualify for the additional $6.00 Wage Enhancement.
