Sunrise Community Kitchen is a welcoming space dedicated to bringing people together through food.  

Located at 2728 E Hastings Street, this 900 square feet of space is equipped with cold storage, canning & food preservation equipment, convection oven etc.

Sunrise Welcome Kitchen will support community-led food projects, cultural exchange, and food skill-sharing. It is also more than justa kitchen. Síma7wi ílhen, meaning "everyone come and eat" in Northern St’at’imcets. It is a gathering space where community members can shareknowledge, cook together, and build connections.  

This infrastructure will help ensure long-term access to fresh, preserved, and culturally appropriate foods, supporting a more resilient and food-secureneighbourhood in the Hastings Sunrise area. 

The Sunrise Community Kitchen is available for community collaboration after June 1, 2025.
