All Seniors Welcome!

We welcome all seniors in our community to come and add to this lively space with their energy. Seniors can enjoy a wide range of activities from reading the papers, learning new skills, to cooking and exercising with their peers. Every day, Frog Hollow offers something for our seniors to be social, healthy and engaged. We also promote intergenerational activities and welcome all generations to participate. We believe in a holistic approach to active aging.

The Social Prescribing Program aims to elevate the seniors’ quality of life by enhancing social connectedness and physical activeness via the utilization of community-based programs.

It is funded by United Way- Lower Mainland and led by the North East Vancouver Active Aging Network.

This program is now accepting referrals from medical professionals of patients 50 years of age or older who require more than a medical prescription to support their health.

Once a medical professional informs a patient of the Social Prescribing Program at Frog Hollow, our Program Staff and  Wellness Connectors will conduct a thorough interview to assess their needs & interests

Depending on the individual’s interests and needs, our staff and  Wellness Connectors will recommend activities for the senior’s consideration & participation.

Due to COVID-19 public health restrictions, most of the activities currently offered are online using the Zoom platform.

However, as the weather gets warmer and health restrictions ease, we anticipate we will be able to offer in-person, outdoor activities this summer, if not earlier! Please check back regularly for timely updates on this website.

If you are not a medical professional but know of someone who may be able to benefit from Frog Hollow’s programs for older adults 50 years and older, you can contact us HERE.
