Community Programmer (Seniors Program)

Frog Hollow’s program for seniors supports the active aging of older adults 50 years of age and older in the Hastings-Sunrise community by enhancing social connectedness and physical activeness via the utilization of community-based programs. This Community Programmer position will provide direct support to seniors with a passionate team of 4 and group of intergenerational volunteers! This is a part-time position, 14 hours per week, 41-week fixed term from June 20, 2022 to March 31, 2023 with the possibility of extension pending program funding.

Chef Instructor – ‘YES CHEF!’ Program

The Chef Instructor collaborates with a high-energy, client-focused team to deliver exceptional employment and settlement services for local newcomer youth in an exciting cooking and baking program aimed at strengthening community connection, improving employability, and preventing food waste. The Chef Instructor is responsible for helping coordinate and lead basic to intermediate level cooking and baking classes for newcomer youth aged 15 to 30 years old. The level of skills covered will depend on the youth participating in the program. This position reports to the Coordinator of the ‘YES CHEF!’ program. This is a contract position with negotiable hours during the cohorts of ‘YES CHEF!’.

The Youth Job Developer collaborates with a high-energy, client-focused team to deliver exceptional youth employment services in Northeast Vancouver. Working out of Drive Youth Employment Services (2106 Commercial Drive), a satellite program of Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House (https://www.froghollow.bc.ca/), the Youth Job Developer supports youth aged 16-30 to achieve employment goals under the WorkBC Employment Services model.
