Youth Art Donation Project: Nourish & Thrive

What does it mean to nourish and thrive? What nourishes your creativity, well-being, relationships, and community? What does a thriving future look like? How can we support one another to grow, heal, and flourish?

We invite youth artists to create and donate an original artwork inspired by this year's fundraising theme, Nourish & Thrive.

Your artwork will be featured and sold at Nourish & Thrive, Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House's fundraising event on November 21, 2026, with all proceeds directly supporting Frog Hollow programs and services.

What's Provided

• One 18" x 24" canvas
• Acrylic paints and brushes
• Creative freedom to interpret the theme in your own unique way

Eligibility

• Youth ages 16-30
• Able to pick up supplies and drop off artwork at Drive Youth Employment Services
• One artwork submission per artist

Art Supply Pick-Up Begins: October 22, 2026
Artwork Drop-Off Deadline: November 16, 2026
Nourish & Thrive Fundraising Event: November 21, 2026

Artwork Display & Sale

All donated artwork will be displayed at the Nourish & Thrive Fundraising Event and exhibited at Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House through January 2027. All proceeds will directly support Frog Hollow programs

Youth Grief & Loss Support Group

We are pleased to share that referrals are now open for our Grief & Loss support group for youth and young adults impacted by the drug crisis.

This free weekly program provides a safe, compassionate, and creative space for youth (ages 16-30) grieving the loss of someone due to the drug crisis. Participants can explore healing through art and creative expression, build community, reduce stigma, and connect with peers who share similar experiences.  

Program Details

• Start Date: September 15, 2026
• Schedule: Tuesdays, 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
• Location: Drive Youth Employment Services, 2106 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC
• Eligibility: Youth and young adults ages 16 to 30 impacted by the toxic drug crisis,  youth ages 13-16 are not eligible at this time.
• Intake: Referrals and applications accepted on an ongoing basis
• Participation: This is not a drop-in program. Youth must complete a referral and intake process before joining the group.

What Participants Can Expect

• A supportive and inclusive environment facilitated by an Art Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
• Art-based activities focused on healing, grief, and self-expression
• Opportunities for peer connection, mentorship, and community building
• Open conversations about grief, loss, and navigating life's challenges
• A stigma-free space where participants can share experiences at their own pace
• Snacks provided and transportation support available
