@ Drive Youth

For youth ages 16-30, for folks that want to improve mental health through art making, living with a disability, neurodivergent or wanting to connect with community

We are pleased to share that referrals are now open for our Grief & Loss support group for youth and young adults impacted by the drug crisis.

This free weekly program provides a safe, compassionate, and creative space for youth (ages 16-30) grieving the loss of someone due to the drug crisis. Participants can explore healing through art and creative expression, build community, reduce stigma, and connect with peers who share similar experiences.

Program Details

Start Date: September 15, 2026
Schedule: Tuesdays, 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Location: Drive Youth Employment Services, 2106 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC
Eligibility: Youth and young adults ages 16 to 30 impacted by the toxic drug crisis, youth ages 13-16 are not eligible at this time.
Intake: Referrals and applications accepted on an ongoing basis
Participation: This is not a drop-in program. Youth must complete a referral and intake process before joining the group.

What Participants Can Expect

A supportive and inclusive environment facilitated by an Art Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Art-based activities focused on healing, grief, and self-expression
Opportunities for peer connection, mentorship, and community building
Open conversations about grief, loss, and navigating life's challenges
A stigma-free space where participants can share experiences at their own pace
Snacks provided and transportation support available
