Temporary Early Childhood Educator
About the Position
The Early Childhood Educator is a temporary position and responsible for the provision of an early learningand care program that fosters a positive, and emergent learning environment with a focus on the social andemotional well being of all children. We are an inclusive, multicultural, dynamic and collaborative child caresetting which includes working with other educators to plan and implement a progressive and innovativeprogram inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, BC Early Learning Framework in concert with the values ofFHNH. Other responsibilities include developing strong and collaborative relationships and communication withchildren, families, and colleagues. This position works in the 3-5 program at Satellite Daycare or in otherchildcare program as need arises.
We are a Learning Centre (www.reggiolearning.ca) with amazing opportunities for professional development andfor collaborative efforts with other educators and with the community.
Skills & Qualifications:
• ECE
• Infant Toddler Educator License is an asset
• Ability to provide programming based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach and BC’s ELF
• Strength in building and maintaining supportive and collaborative partnerships with children of all abilities, families, and colleagues
• Creativity, initiative, flexibility, compassion, sense of joy, and enthusiasm
• Passion for ongoing professional development and growth
• Strong planning, organizational, leadership and communication skills
Hours: This is a temporary full-time position at 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, rotating shifts, and occasionalevening meetings.
Salary & Benefits: Hourly Salary: $22.77-$23.57 (Salary Band C2), or Infant Toddler qualifications $23.91-$24.75 (Salary Band C3). This position qualifies for the additional $6.00 WE. Benefits
