The Nootka school age care program offers an encouraging and healthy place to begin and end each school day. A positive start to each day is an important aspect to success at school. After school children are welcome to build, create and play in a warm, fun environment inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. Our bright and cheery spaces offer enough room and equipment to explore through creative play.
Program content includes:

- The school playground & gymnasium
- Renfrew Park
- The Lacrosse box
- The ravine

Winter, Spring and Summer Breaks (held at Frog Hollow Neighborhood House) *extra fee required

Where in the school is your program located?
Activity room next to parking lot and the Drama Room down the hall.
Do you have a waitlist and how do I get on it?
Yes, you just need to give your contact info and your child info to the supervisor.
Do you provide care on Professional Days/District closure days?
Yes and at no extra charge. Our hours of operation of those days are 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Do you provide care for the school breaks?
Yes, we do provide care during the Winter and Spring school break. However, care is provided at Frog Hollow Neigbourhood House in conjuction with the children from our Kindercare and KW program with a maximum of 40 children. There is also an extra fee required of $20/day and registration for these breaks is required.
Do you provide care during the Summer?
Yes, we do offer a School Age Summer Program located at Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House for up to 40 children total from our Kindercare, KW and Nootka programs. There is an internal registration process in which all current families are notified with the summer fee schedule and registration information.
