Welcome to Frog Hollow’s Childcare Programs The Childcare programs at FHNH have always been committed to cutting edge program delivery for the hundreds of children and families they serve. In 2007, the Childcare staff began a journey of discovering, absorbing and embracing the world renowned, Reggio Emilia Approach. This critically acclaimed approach, that was founded in the Romagna region of Italy in the city of Reggio Emilia, is a holistic, child-centered pedagogical model that FHNH believes is an inspiring way to deliver excellent learning opportunities for children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years. The entire premise of the approach follows the interest of the child and adults while both are learning and teaching simultaneously. The process is ongoing, ever changing and always dynamic, and takes more spontaneous, less structured approach to working with children. Families are welcomed and encouraged to participate as equal partners in the program and are kept up to date of all learnings through documentation of the various activities and projects the children participate in. We believe that having the children and families fully participate in their childcare/preschool experience fosters a creative, dynamic and exceptional program filled with never ending possibilities. Our childcare programs find this approach very inspiring and have been using it to help shape the way we deliver all of our childcare services. Useful Links:
