What Does it Mean to Teach nature loves to hide
June 12, 2018
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House
How do we define teaching?
How do we inspire our children through playful processes?
How do playful inquiries engage us as a group?
In this exciting two-part workshop, Dr. Kohan will start by leading us in an exploration of the insightful and inspiring statements by two philosophers: The first, “nature loves to hide” by Heraclitus, and the second, “an unexamined life is not worth living”, by Socrates. We will experience and practice a way of teaching and learning together.
In the second part, we will consider our experiences in the first part and examine connections to our everyday work with children from a Reggio-inspired approach.
